The Basset's Tail (About)

Well, this is not only the Basset's Tale, but of course a Basset has a tail as well. So here's the tail: 

I'm a 37-year-old woman living in Germany together with my husband. Until now we don't have kids, but we "parent" our three pets, two silly dogs and a dangerous and really mean cat, Leo, only part of the tail that bites and sometimes seems to consist only of teeth and claws... 
But my favourite pet by far, of all times is "Humboldt", my lovely, lazy, stinkin' AND cute Basset Hound, name-giver to this blog and the true inspiration to many of my artworks, as you will see. -because I deeply believe, from the bottom of my heart, that every image, every painting and every picture gets better, when there's a basset in it!  Don't you agree?

I will blog in English but I speak German (that's my mothertongue, so please excuse my sometimes weird spelling and grammar), English, some French, Spanish and Portuguese, I'm pretty good in reading Dutch, Swedish and some Norwegian and I own an impressing vocabulary of 4-letter-words in Hindi and Tagalog. So please feel free to comment in any language you like, I'll probably figure it out to understand it, as long as it is in latin letters and maybe give me a clue what language it is... :)
